The 54th Super Bowl, the final match between the best teams of the National Football League, took place in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium stadium. In the United States, huge attention is traditionally riveted to him, and it can be considered as the main sporting event of the year in the country. This time the show turned out to be as incredible as in previous years.

The silver trophy in the form of an American football ball was disputed by the San Francisco Forty Niners and Kansas City Chiefs teams. For the Californians, this was the seventh game for the Super Bowl, which before that they gave the opponent just once in their history. The opponent’s track record was more modest - the team reached the final for the first time in 50 years since it gained its only victory. The Chiefs also lost in the first Super Bowl, held in 1967.

Before the game, there was a lot of talk about the achievements that the head coaches of both teams could achieve. San Francisco Mentor Kyle Shanahan and father Mike have already become the first family duo to bring their teams to the Super Bowl. In addition to this, they could establish a whole victorious dynasty, as the Shenahen Sr. won three times with the Denver Broncos.

Kansas City head coach Andy Reed had a different story - he has been running American football teams for 21 years, managed to take sixth place in the number of wins in the playoffs, but won the Super Bowl only as an assistant in 1996.

On the field, the central figure of the finals was quarterback Chefs Patrick Mahomes. In the NFL, he spends only the third season, but has long fallen in love with fans. Seven years ago, he tweeted about his dream of announcing a trip to Disneyland right after winning the Super Bowl.

But this season, Mahomes faced major superstition in the NFL - a 24-year-old athlete hit the cover of the official video game. With those who became her face, any misfortune always always happened, the mildest of which was a defeat in the final.

I bet it feels amazing to be the quarterback who says "I'm going to Disney World" after winning the Super Bowl #Qbs

But Mahomes managed to disrupt the usual course of history. 31 seconds before the end of the first quarter, he earned a touchdown, pushing Kansas City ahead with a score of 7: 3. By the break, both teams scored ten points, which was the fourth case in history when a tie score was recorded by the middle of the match.

Forty Niners won the third quarter dry, adding ten more points. But in the final segment, the Chiefs turned the game upside down - Mahomes gave two passes that led to the touchdowns. After another successful attempt, the score was 31:20 in favor of Kansas City.

Chiefs became the first team in history to recoup in all three playoff matches after a double-digit backlog, and last but not least the merit of the 24-year-old quarterback. Mahomes was recognized as the most valuable player in the Super Bowl. The first thing after the victory, Mahomes announced that he would indeed go to Disneyland, finally conquering the hearts of American fans.

An important part of any Super Bowl is also a break show and television commercials, which cost up to $ 5.6 million in 30 seconds. This year, viewers at the Hard Rock Stadium were entertained by Shakira (who had a birthday on the day of the game) and Jennifer Lopez. The NFL has long been trying to conquer the Latin American market, and the invitation of two stars with Colombian and Puerto Rican roots has become an ideal find.

Traditionally, music stars perform for free during the Super Bowl break, but this show did not become less vivid, and the leading American media the next day called Shakira and Lopez one of the best in history. The last in the setlist was the song Waka Waka - the official anthem of the 2010 World Cup.

Not without Super Bowl and without politics. In a series of insanely expensive advertising videos shown on television, there were also pre-election videos of two candidates for the presidency of the United States - incumbent head of state Donald Trump and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Trump after the match at the same time congratulated Kansas City on the long-awaited championship.

“Congratulations to the Chiefs with a great game and a fantastic comeback under tremendous pressure. We are proud of you and the great state of Kansas. You are real champions! ”Trump wrote on Twitter.

Later, users of social networks drew the attention of the US President to the fact that Kansas City is actually not in Kansas, but in Missouri. The head of state had to delete the message and rewrite it.
