Southampton, who played strongly in the end with four straight away wins, managed to withstand a half, but then the power became too great. At the end there was a big hole in the Saints defense and Mohamed Salah made his way, finishing 3-0 and 4-0.

At 3-0, Salah ran through and elegantly chipped the ball over goalkeeper Alex McCarthy who tried to cut the corner. At 4-0, Salah teamed up with Roberto Firmino and got the ball back, set the goal after a little mess inside the box.

The whole of Anfield was then a single big party and the Liverpool songs echoed in the arena. It was a mood that was felt in large parts of the city.
