At Old Trafford, Manchester United opened the scoring through Colombian Luis Dias with a wonderful clearance, when he received a header pass from Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, who followed Scottish Andre Robertson's corner (24).

The visitors had other opportunities to double the score, when Mohamed Salah fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Onana blocked it.

In total, the Cameroonian international goalkeeper blocked 15 shots from Liverpool players.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports after the match, "We had great chances, before and after the draw. For me, we deserved more than a point... I think Suboslaj's chance was an amazing save by Onana."

Before taking the free kick, the Manchester United goalkeeper applied Vaseline to his gloves, much to the dismay of the fans.

Onana's application of Vaseline to his gloves did not go unnoticed on social media as they questioned the goalkeeper's decision. One of them wrote: “Did Onana put Vaseline on his gloves..?”

Another tweeted: "Wait!? Why does Onana put Vaseline on his gloves? How does lubricating your fists help you catch the ball?"

A third added: "Has anyone else noticed Onana rubbing Vaseline on his gloves during corner kicks? I've never seen a goalkeeper do that before."

But there is a good reason why goalkeepers put Vaseline on their gloves, because they use it as a sealant and to keep moisture away from the gloves.
