The shoe Nike Vaporfly has revolutionized the runner world in recent years and now some versions of it will be banned. From now on you should not have soles that are thicker than 40 millimeters and no more than one carbon fiber plate.
The shoe that Kipchoge used had three carbon fiber plates.
The new rules also state that a shoe used in an official competition must have been on sale for at least four months.
