After Oskarshamn's loss to Färjestad on January 11, coach Håkan Åhlund told his players that he had terminated his contract over the next season. But he leaves earlier than that.
At a meeting on Friday, it was decided that Åhlund should leave Oskarhamn with immediate effect.
- Our ambition has always been that Håkan would continue to lead the team for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, the tasks of the media in recent days have created a focus on Håkan instead of on the team, which is why I, together with the board, have decided that this is the best solution for IK Oskarshamn in the current circumstances, says IKO general manager Thomas Fröberg in a press release .
