Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to Milan where he will play for the rest of the season.

Now it is also clear that the Swedish 38-year-old will officially be presented on Friday as the club plans to hold a press conference on the occasion of the striker's return.

"AC Milan announces that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's press conference is scheduled for January 3 at Casa Milan (club headquarters) at 10am," the club writes.

Ibrahimovic still has to go through the mandatory medical examination - something to be done the day before the press conference, on Thursday, according to the Serie A club.

Contract for the summer

It was last Friday that Milan confirmed that Zlatan had signed a contract extending until the summer with an option for another year.

"I return to a club I respect immensely and to a city I love," the Swede said in a statement.

Ibrahimovic played in Milan at the latest between 2010 and 2012. At the earliest he can make his debut on 6 January when Sampdoria visits San Siro.
