Today, the Egyptian city of Suez witnessed the establishment of the sixth edition of the Zayed Charity Marathon, in which 20 thousand different Egyptians and foreigners participated, in addition to the distinguished participation of people of determination. Charity event came out in the best shape, and charitable initiatives were held on its margins. The head of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Staff Lt. Gen. Muhammad Hilal Al-Kaabi, revealed new initiatives that brought joy to the hearts of Egyptians, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Al-Kaabi said in a press statement, that a number of people in Suez Governorate had been granted Hajj and Umrah trips to the Holy Land, and to provide an apartment for a family from the slums to live in.
Al-Kaabi said that the organizing committee decided to raise the value of financial prizes for the category of people of determination as of the seventh edition to reach one million Egyptian pounds instead of 500 thousand. The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Action supported the National Cancer Institute with the latest device for diagnosing and treating tumors in the world, called "Cyber Naif" at a cost of 120 million Egyptian pounds, according to the Director General of the Zayed Foundation, Hamad Salem Al-Amri. It is mentioned that the title of men’s category returned to Moroccan Hisham Balani, and the title of women went to Sudanese, Amna Bakhit Bershim, while he won the title of owners of determination, Walid Jaber Al-Hadidi.
