Sweden had collected silver when Johan Olsson finished the World Cup with gold on the five-mile after a heroic solo race. The Swede got up early and, despite a chasing cluster, managed to keep going all the way to the finish. Gold was Sweden's first in the distance in 20 years and number 14 through the ages.
