Dick Axelsson and Djurgården did not agree on a new contract after last year's season which ended with an SM silver after the final loss against Frölunda.

Axelsson accounted for 25 points in 36 basic series matches, but switched up in the playoffs and was the best Djurgårdare with his 14 points in 19 matches.

After an autumn where he started on his own and played matches in Division 5 with Boo HC 2 (twelve points in three matches), it is now clear that Axelsson has signed an agreement that extends the season with Djurgården.

It may not be a big secret that the 32-year-old is ready for the club. As late as Saturday, Axelsson told Aftonbladet that he was aiming for games with Djurgården before the end of the month.

He joins the team on November 20.

Dif already misses his star player Jacob Josefson, who suffered a foot fracture in October.
