LONDON (Reuters) - Liverpool extended their lead in the Premier League after a precious 3-1 win over first-placed Manchester City in the 12th round to extend their lead to eight points.

The Reds benefited at home from Anfield from the ground and the public, and settled the Premiership summit to a worth 34 points, moving away from the leaders of Manchester City, who stopped at 26 points, finishing second on goal difference from Chelsea ahead of Chelsea.
