19-year-old Tilde Johansson was set against the world's best long jumpers in today's qualifiers. Johansson was ranked 32nd before qualifying with a personal best of 6.73. It would take something extra for Tilde to make it to the final, 6.75 was the qualifying limit, two centimeters above the personal best. The first jump was something of a disappointment, 6.34. The second and third attempts were all the better, both at 6.48, only five inches from American Saunders who was the last to reach Sunday's final.

However, Tilde Johansson knows what it takes to achieve better results.

- Maybe the last attack on the plank, it can be more aggressive. But I was probably no better today. I had my top form at the junior championship last summer when I wanted it. Then I got a minor injury and it became rehab. I still felt that the shape was good but the last timing and the technique was missing, Johansson said after the competition.

18-year-olds, despite missing the final, look forward to future championships.

- I'm still satisfied, I did my best based on the day's form today. It was snowing that it was a few centimeters to the final, but I hope to make more World Cups, Johansson tells SVT.
