It has been a tough season for Lindh where it never really went down to the 1.58.77, a world time she did in July 2017.

- Well it is. I had nothing to answer with. At the rally I had the position I wanted but then it was blunt legs. Unfortunately, there was nothing where the last 50 meters, Lindh tells SVT Sport.

Lindh had a good trip and was first in the rally but stumbled completely the last 50 meters and almost the whole field passed. Lindh got the time 2.03.72, a close heat won by Natalija Prischepa at 2.03.22.

- Unfortunately, this is what it has looked like lately. She doesn't have that pressure that she had a couple of years ago, says SVT Sports Kajsa Bergqvist.

The Norwegian Hedda Hynne, with which Lindh had tough duels, managed a semifinal spot in the first heat. She was trapped in the rally but stepped aside, got out, and was able to run in goal as third at 2.02.49.

The top three in each of the six attempts went straight to the semi-finals. Then there were six times beyond that.
