CAIRO: Egypt's Al-Ahly has revealed a proposal to hold a friendly against Real Madrid in the coming period.

The delegation of Al-Ahly of Egypt, currently in Spain, which includes Eng. Khaled Murtaji and Eng. Mohamed Serageldin, members of the board of directors of the club to participate in the World Football Industry Conference, met with Petragenio, Director of International Relations at Real Madrid.

The Egyptian club said in a statement that the meeting witnessed discussion of several files, and explained the mechanism of work at Real Madrid club and talked about the sources of funding and development and how to finance major projects of the Royal Club, including the development of the current stadium Santiago Bernabeu.

The dialogue dealt with the establishment of a friendly match between Al Ahli and Real to be determined later in the style of the century match between the two clubs in Cairo in 2001 and ended in favor of Al Ahli 1-0.

Petragenio suggested the game be held in Madrid, and Al-Ahli's delegation welcomed the proposal pending presentation to the board.
