Integrated this season into the Barça professional group by coach Xavi, Cubarsi only has around ten matches at the highest level in his legs.

He notably made his big debut in the Champions League by starting against Naples on Tuesday for the quarter-final qualification (3-1).

Born on January 22, 2007 near Girona, Catalonia, trained at La Masia, Cubarsi moved straight from the Under-17s to the national A team thanks to his excellent performances with Barcelona in recent months.

If coach Luis de la Fuente gives him a few minutes of play, Cubarsi would become the youngest central defender in the Spanish national team, surpassing Sergio Ramos, who started for La Roja at 18.

Another great Barça hope, Lamine Yamal, became last September at 16 the youngest player and scorer in the history of La Roja.

Dani Vivian, 24, central defender playing for Athletic Bilbao, is the other new addition to La Fuente's list to face Colombia on March 22 in London and then Brazil at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid on the 26th.

The Spain-Brazil match will be organized under the sign of anti-racism, an event which is part of the fight against the numerous discriminatory episodes suffered by Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Vinicius Jr.
