Al Jazira defender Mohammed Al Attas scored his own goal in the 87th minute to give Al Wahda a 3-2 win in the Abu Dhabi derby on Friday night at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The match was on its way to a 2-2 draw when Al Wahda striker Sebastian Tigale crossed a powerful cross into the penalty area and the Al Jazira defender made a mistake in his own net while goalkeeper Ali Khasif merely followed through.

The hosts got their first three points in the competition, making up for their surprise loss to Fujairah away last week.

Al Jazeera invested early control of the game from the first minutes and advanced the first goal in the tenth minute by Amer Abdulrahman wonderful.

Al Wahda players held together after receiving the goal and managed to score the equalizer in the 20th minute from an attack by Spain's Carlos Huesca.

Al Jazeera started the second half with a clear advantage and the second goal was scored by Khalfan Mubarak in the 46th minute. Alatas scored his own goal in the 87th minute to give the home side a win.

The match saw the arrival of Argentine striker Sebastian Tigale to the goal No. 23 in the history of the two teams, and reached the goal number 138 in the second place behind the historic top scorer of the league Fahd Khamis, who has 165 goals.
