At the AFAS stadium, where BK Häcken played against AZ Alkmaar a few weeks ago, a large part of the roof on the long side has collapsed. According to information to the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf, no person should have been injured after the collapse.

On Thursday AZ will play Europa League qualifiers on the stadium but according to a spokesman for the club it is not yet clear what will happen.

This is not the first time an arena is collapsing in the Netherlands. In 2011, part of Twente's stadium collapsed and at that time two people were killed.
