At the end of July last year, a man was found dead in a wooded area in Orminge. According to police, he was reported missing the day before. The teenager was allegedly abducted by two knife-wielding, masked men and later murdered with stab wounds and a submachine gun.

Leader of criminal network indicted

One of those charged with the murder is the leader of one side of the divided criminal Älvsjö network, according to SVT Nyheter Stockholmlm's survey of the gangs.

A total of seven people have been charged in the case, as one of the suspects of the kidnapping is also charged with aggravated protection of a criminal along with another person.

The trial begins May 10 in Nacka District Court.

A split in the Älvsjö network, which concerns the control of the drug market, should have been one of the most important reasons for the murder, according to prosecutor Lukas Tigerstrand. Hear more about it in the video above.
