The students from Öknaskolan will soon start their so-called farm weeks when they will learn to drive tractors with GPS.

"Now we're without equipment for the students, and it's really sad," says farm manager Jonas Thunström, who estimates that the GPS system is worth over SEK 70,000.

Police warn

The police are seeing an increase in thefts from agriculture and Police Region East has previously issued warnings, mainly for thefts of GPS systems. But other equipment has also disappeared at night, such as tools and herbicides.

Sheep theft

Just before Easter, the farm also lost a sheep.

"We haven't seen any traces of, for example, predators, but we have seen car tracks going back and forth across the courtyard," says Jonas Thunström.

The sheep are quite shy and shy away from strangers, Jonas explains.

"There have probably been several people who chased the sheep and finally managed to overpower the animal and take it away by car," he says.

In the clip, he tells how his thoughts went when they realized that the sheep was stolen.
