This was reported by the publication "Ukrainska Pravda".

"In the case of Russia's rocket attack on the Kanatovo airfield, the Security Service of Ukraine detained the former acting commander of one of the units of the special operation forces, Roman Chervinsky," the report said.

It is specified that Chervinsky was detained on the morning of April 24 in the Ternopil region of Ukraine.

Earlier, the SBU said that an unsuccessful attempt to hijack an aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces led to a missile attack on the Kanatovo airfield.

Russia's FSB reported on the Ukrainian operation in July 2022: Ukrainian military intelligence planned that a Russian military aircraft would be hijacked during a sortie.

According to the agency, the British intelligence services provided the main support to Ukrainian military intelligence in its operation.
