An agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was convicted in Russia for attempting to buy components for the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.

This was reported by the FSB Public Relations Center.

“The decision of the Rostov Regional Court to find an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a resident of Melitopol, a citizen of Ukraine, Sergei Viktorovich Krivitsky, guilty of committing a crime under Art.

276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Espionage”, and imprisonment for a period of 11 years and 6 months to be served in a maximum security colony,” the message says.

According to the FSB, a foreigner was caught red-handed in Rostov-on-Don while attempting to purchase top secret military products, klystrons used in the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems.

It was also reliably confirmed that Sergei Krivitsky was involved in an attempt to organize the delivery of similar devices in November 2019 in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence, which was stopped by security agencies.

Thus, in Moscow, under similar circumstances, Ukrainian citizen Vasily Vasilenko was detained.

He arrived in the capital on behalf of Krivitsky to purchase klystrons.

He is also currently serving a sentence in a correctional colony.

“During the investigation, all the circumstances of Krivitsky’s espionage activities were established.

His guilt has been fully proven,” the FSB said.

Earlier this week, a terrorist attack using a toxic substance was prevented in the Zaporozhye region.

It was indicated that a number of detainees spread radical Islamic ideology through the Internet in the Muslim Ummah of the Russian Federation and justified the conduct of terrorist activities.

Also in February, the illegal activities of a secret cell of the international terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham** in the Samara region were suppressed.

Since February 2022, she has been raising money for tactical medicine, equipment, weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian military.
