Sudanese activists posted videos on social media that they said showed plumes of smoke rising from inside Khartoum International Airport following clashes between Sudan's army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), headed by Mohamed Hamdan Hemedti.

Local media reported that smoke rose due to the burning of two planes at the airport, while other footage broadcast by activists showed damage from inside Khartoum International Airport, as in this video:

For its part, the Rapid Support Forces posted on Facebook scenes they say are from their control of the Jabal Awliya military airport:

Activists also documented on Facebook videos of the sounds of gunfire and the rising plumes of smoke from the ongoing clashes in the city of El Fasher in western Sudan.

For its part, the media account of the Sudanese army published a video on Facebook showing the burning of cars it says belong to the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum, which witnessed violent clashes between the army forces and members of the Rapid Support Forces on Saturday morning.

Sudanese activists also circulated on social media platforms a video showing the presence of gunmen near the headquarters of the General Command in the capital, Khartoum, amid rising plumes of smoke in an area that apparently witnessed battles.

Videos circulating on social media platforms showed cases of hit-and-run among the people of Nyala in the market area, in conjunction with the closure of several shops amid warnings of possible clashes in the western Sudanese city.
