Al Jazeera's correspondent said that clashes took place between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the vicinity of the Signal Corps in the Bahri region, north of the capital, Khartoum.

From its positions in Omdurman, the army bombed sites belonging to the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum North.

At the same time, the Sudanese army published pictures of military vehicles and combat equipment, which it said it had seized from the Rapid Support Forces during the battles that took place last week, after which it announced its control of the radio and television headquarters in the city of Omdurman.

On the other hand, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Yasser Al-Atta, said that the army decided to continue fighting, whatever the cost.

This came during his speech before a crowd of soldiers and officers in the city of Kosti, the capital of White Nile State.

The Sudanese army, led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces, led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), are fighting a war that has left about 13,900 people dead and more than 8 million displaced and refugees, according to the United Nations.

Last week, the Sudanese army announced its control of the radio and television complex, defeating the Rapid Support Forces, which have been controlling the complex and the old neighborhoods of Omdurman since the start of the war.
