A 68-year-old man has embedded this afternoon in Madrid his Volkswagen ID.3 electric car against the facade of the office of a reform company located on Calle Añastro (Hortaleza) after performing a maneuver, knocking down the door and part of the wall for reasons that are investigated and leaving trapped in the premises two of the four people who were working.

Health of the Samur-Civil Protection have had to attend to the two workers of the office with anxiety crises and various minor injuries, although one of them has been transferred "with minor bruises and as a precaution" to the Ramón y Cajal hospital, said the supervisor on duty of this service, Carlos Rodríguez. In addition, psychologists have attended to the occupants of the wrecked car, who were very nervous.

The Madrid Firefighters have removed the car and cleaned up the premises, with many material damages, since the vehicle has demolished the enclosure and part of the adjacent wall. As explained by Mario Martínez, deputy fire officer of Madrid, after the strong impact "for unknown reasons" against the door of the establishment, inside which there were four people, two of them have been trapped. "Once the electric vehicle was removed, the people inside have been able to get out," he added.

Agents of the Municipal Police of the Integral Police Station of Hortaleza are carrying out the police report. The accident occurred when two cars were found on the street. The electric car was going to start the reversing maneuver, but suddenly the vehicle has gone head-on until it hit the facade of the company.

The electric vehicle, valued at about 40,000 euros, was new and the driver had acquired it last January.
