The Moroccan Commission for the Support of the Nation's Causes launched the "I am a Moroccan who breaks my fast in Jerusalem" campaign in solidarity with Al-Aqsa Mosque and in support of the steadfastness of Jerusalemites in the face of Israeli attacks.

The campaign witnessed wide participation of Moroccans in several cities in the country, coinciding with the continued violations of the Israeli occupation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

Through its accounts on social media platforms, the Moroccan Authority published photos and videos documenting the participation of Moroccan families in the campaign, as families prepared Palestinian dishes such as maqluba and lentil soup, and raised Palestinian flags on their tables, in addition to pictures of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In its fourth edition, the campaign received wide participation in several Moroccan cities such as Fez and Larache, coinciding with the uprising of Jerusalemites in the face of the occupation, which continues its violations against them, amid calls by extremist associations to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and close it to protesters and harass them.

Moroccan activists posted photos and videos documenting their participation in the campaign #أنا_مغربي_إفطاري_مقدسي campaign, expressing solidarity with the people of Jerusalem against the Israeli attack.

Activists reacted to the campaign by praising it and calling it an anti-normalization act that supports the steadfastness of the Palestinians in their land, stressing the creativity of Moroccans in the style of advocacy and support for Jerusalem.

Writer and researcher Hicham Tawfik tweeted, "Moroccans, with great artistry and creativity, support Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause and bring down normalization in their own way."

Moroccan activist Asma Abou Bakr said on her Twitter account, "We live the issue and its centrality in our lives, because if we are failed defenders of the cause, we should change the defenders, not change the case."

It is worth mentioning that the occupation forces attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque and arrested hundreds of them from inside the Al-Aqsa courtyards, coinciding with the restrictions on Jerusalemites and West Bankers on their way to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and allowing settlers to storm inside its courtyards.
