The capital, Sanaa, witnessed a massive demonstration in support of Gaza (Anatolia)

Several demonstrations took place today, Friday, in a number of Arab countries in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a devastating Israeli war since the seventh of last October.

Yemen

Tens of thousands of Yemenis demonstrated in Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana'a, in response to a call launched by the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) under the slogan, "Our operations continue... Stop your aggression."

According to the group's Saba agency, "the crowds raised Yemeni and Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the American-British aggression against Yemen, and the continuation of the brutal massacres committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza."

A statement read on the sidelines of the demonstration called on "the Yemeni armed forces (referring to the Houthi forces) to carry out more qualitative operations against the Zionist, American and British enemy."

The statement also sent "a call to the Arab and Islamic peoples and all the peoples of the free world to escalate their positions in support of the Palestinian people and to put pressure on regimes and governments to take firm positions that deter the Zionist entity from continuing to commit brutal crimes against the Palestinian people," according to the same agency.

Jordan

In Jordan, Jordanians continued their protests in the capital, Amman, and a number of governorates, villages, and camps for the 24th week since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The title of today's marches was related to the fact that the choice to liberate Palestine is only through resistance, as a march was organized downtown in Amman under the slogan "From dignity to Gaza... our choice is resistance."

The protesters demanded a ceasefire and the entry of medical and food aid into the besieged Strip.

Demonstrations also took place in the cities of Karak, Zarqa, and Ajloun in support of Palestine, and to denounce the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Gaza.

Morocco

In Morocco, hundreds of Moroccans organized solidarity vigils with Gaza to demand an end to the starvation and siege imposed on it, and to support the steadfastness of the Palestinians in the Strip, which has been suffering from the scourge of war for months.

Solidarity vigils were organized after Friday prayers in several cities, such as El Jadida (west), Tangier, Sidi Slimane and Meknes (north), and Oujda and Guercif (east).

The stops came in response to the call of the Moroccan Authority for Supporting the Nation’s Issues (non-governmental).

The Authority organized these demonstrations for the 23rd Friday in a row since the start of Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, and carried the slogan “Stop starvation, lift the siege.”

The protesters chanted slogans supporting the Palestinian people, rejecting the killing, abuse and starvation practiced against them, especially in Gaza, and demanding an end to the siege.

Among the slogans chanted were: “The people want to liberate Palestine,” “Gaza is a symbol of pride,” and “With our soul and our blood, we will redeem you, O Al-Aqsa.”

Tunisia

In Tunisia, Hizb ut-Tahrir (an Islamic party) organized a march in support of the people of Gaza after Friday prayers towards the municipal theater in Tunis.

The march bore the title, “Oh Muslim armies, supporting Gaza is a must,” and the participants raised banners indicating the numbers of dead and wounded and calling for jihad in support of the Palestinians.

The demonstrators also chanted slogans such as “Oh Muslim armies, Gaza is calling and Palestine,” and “Gaza is calling, oh armies. Who will support it over the monsters?” ".

the two seas

In Bahrain, local platforms and accounts published scenes of a popular demonstration in the city of Diraz, northwest of the country, in support of Palestine and Gaza and to demand an end to the war and an end to starving the residents of the Strip.

It is noteworthy that Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, which has left tens of thousands of civilian casualties, most of them children and women, according to Palestinian and UN data, and an unprecedented health and humanitarian catastrophe.
