Rescue teams rescued the baby from the rubble 128 hours after the quake, during which the baby lost her father and two brothers, and her mother was injured and taken to hospital in Adana province.

The Ministry of Family supervised the care of the child after rescuing her and transporting her on a presidential plane to a care institution in the capital, Ankara, after confirming that she did not suffer from any health problems, and the nurses named her "Gizem".

The competent authorities conducted the necessary investigations regarding the baby's family, and after examining DNA samples, they discovered that the baby's mother was Yasmine Bakdash, who underwent treatment at Adana Medical City.

In a press statement, the minister said: "Her mother is still undergoing treatment. After recovery, we will leave Faten in the custody of her mother."

On February 6, southern Turkey and northern Syria were hit by an earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale, followed by another with a magnitude of 7.6, followed by thousands of violent aftershocks, leaving tens of thousands dead and significant economic destruction.
