On Monday, April 3, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the establishment of the State Fund for support of participants in the special military operation "Defenders of the Fatherland". This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.

As stated in the document, the fund's activities are aimed at supporting and assisting veterans of a special military operation, persons "who, in accordance with the decisions of the public authorities of the DPR, LPR, participated in hostilities as part of the Armed Forces of the DPR, LPR, military formations and bodies of the DPR, LPR since May 11, 2014." Assistance will also be provided to the families of those killed in the performance of the tasks of the CVO or after discharge from military service, if the death occurred as a result of injury or illness received during their performance.

It is noted that the fund was created "in order to create conditions that ensure a decent life and active work of participants in a special military operation, other persons and members of their families."

The chairman of the fund was appointed the head of the board for guardianship in the social sphere of Kuzbass - the wife of the head of the Kemerovo region Anna Tsivileva. She heads the board of directors of Kolmar Group, specializing in coal mining, is a member of the government council on guardianship in the social sphere, as well as the council of the Eurasian Women's Forum under the Federation Council.

The Board of Trustees was headed by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov, while the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation.

Recall that Vladimir Putin announced the creation of a fund to support the participants of the CBO during the announcement of the message to the Federal Assembly. As the head of state noted, the task of the fund "will be targeted, personal assistance to the families of the dead soldiers and veterans of the special military operation", coordination of the provision of social, medical, psychological support, solving issues of sanatorium and resort treatment and rehabilitation, assistance in education, sports, employment, entrepreneurship, advanced training, in obtaining a new profession, as well as the organization of long-term care at home, high-tech prosthetics. for everyone who needs it.

"Our duty is to support families who have lost relatives, friends, loved ones, to help them raise, raise children, give them an education, a profession. The family of each participant in a special military operation should be in the zone of constant attention, surrounded by care and honor. We need to respond to their needs immediately, without red tape, "Putin said in his address to the Federal Assembly.

Later, the Russian president added that taking care of the defenders of the Motherland is a sacred duty of the state. According to him, the created fund should become a powerful structure that will be directly subordinate to the government of the Russian Federation.

On March 23, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking with a report to the State Duma, noted that the government had begun to create a fund. This is one of the areas on which the efforts of the Cabinet of Ministers are concentrated.

"People should not have problems with solving emerging issues. If, for example, modern medicines, medical devices and technical means of rehabilitation are required, it is very important to provide everything quickly, without delay. The fund should work in the coming months in the literal sense of the word throughout the country. Citizens have gone through a lot, they need increased attention, special care of the state. And this will be ensured, "the head of the Cabinet explained.

In addition, the Central Bank reported that Russian banks from the autumn of 2022 provided CVO participants and their families with credit holidays in the amount of 69.3 billion rubles.

"From the end of September 2022 to February 28, 2023, banks provided SVO participants and their families with credit holidays in the amount of 69.3 billion rubles, including in February - by 1.8 billion rubles for 5.5 thousand loans," the report said.
