The actress said she found herself in "situations where directors tried to kiss [her] and producers tried to touch [her]".

"And I had to say no. First because I was in love, so it hadn't crossed my mind. So you know there's a limit, a line that you can't cross," she continued.

"You must know how to say no, you must learn to say no", added Juliette Binoche, saying to herself "happy" with the progress of the "+ Me Too + movement, which has changed a lot of things in our lives, and that's marvellous".

"You have to learn to be strong, to save yourself as an artist, to fight as an artist, even though I love being loved," she explained.

The 58-year-old interpreter also said she was very "honoured" to be in Seville, where the Goya ceremony is being held this year: "It's a special moment for me, to be here in Spain, in because of all the artists (who came to the Goyas) who inspired me".

On Saturday, she will receive an honorary award from the Spanish Film Academy for her "extraordinary trajectory".

During her forty-year career, Juliette Binoche has acted in many films, including "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", "The Lovers of Pont-Neuf" and "The English Patient" for which she received Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
