She noted that participation in discussions with representatives of Russia makes it possible to resist the Russian position.
On October 17, Canadian authorities expanded the sanctions list against Russia by adding 34 more individuals and one legal entity to it.
The list, in particular, included Russian journalists Dmitry Guberniev, Maria Sittel and Kirill Kleymenov.
In addition, actors Vladimir Mashkov and Sergei Bezrukov were included in the sanctions list.
Earlier, on September 30, Canada added 43 Russians to the list of sanctions against Russia in connection with the referendum.
