This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Geng Shuang.
“China supports holding an international peace conference in due course, which would be recognized by both Russia and Ukraine and in which there would be equal participation of all parties and a fair discussion of all peace plans,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
At the same time, Geng Shuang emphasized that Beijing is ready to interact with all parties to consolidate consensus to end the conflict.
Earlier, China and Switzerland advocated inviting Russia to the summit on Ukraine.
Also, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China’s efforts in Ukraine are aimed at paving the way for negotiations.
