Thousands of Palestinian and Arab communities revived the "Annual Palestine Festival" in its 18th edition in the British capital, London, which included popular and heritage activities, and the participation of British supporters of the Palestinian cause.

A number of Arab and British personalities participated in the festival, which was organized by the Palestinian Forum in Britain, yesterday, Saturday, most notably Irish MP Richard Boyd Barrett, who was known for his positions in support of Palestine, and personalities from the Palestinian interior participated in response to the forum's invitation.

In his speech during the festival, Barrett said that the Palestinian people deserve support, as they have suffered greatly under occupation for decades, and there are still refugees living in refugee camps when they were displaced from their country in 1948.

In turn, the head of the Palestinian Forum, Zaher Birawi, said that this year's festival comes in a distinct style that is keen to transfer its participants to Palestine and its heritage.

Birawi added that the Palestinian Forum and all members of the Palestinian community in Britain will, along with all the free people of the world, "work to cut the western extension cord of the occupying state and the apartheid regime."

The festival, which was held in the Harrow area of ​​London, included singing performances and an exhibition of products from the Palestinian heritage. It also included special activities for children and a market for foods and the famous Palestinian knafeh.

According to the organizers, the festival aims to contribute to strengthening the Palestinian narrative of the conflict in light of the sea of ​​lies propagated by the Israeli occupation and its tools in the world in general and in Britain in particular.
