This was reported to RIA Novosti in court.

“The court granted the petition of the investigation and chose Ovsyannikova as a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment of detention in Russia or extradition,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

Earlier, lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov, representing the interests of Marina Ovsyannikova, an ex-employee of Channel One who was put on the wanted list, announced her illegal escape from Russia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put her on the wanted list.

On August 11, the Basmanny Court of Moscow sent Ovsyannikova under house arrest on charges of disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces.
