Today, Saturday, the 39-year-old Lebanese artist, George Al-Rassi, died in a terrible traffic accident on an international road in the Bekaa region, east of Lebanon, on the border with Syria.

And the official Lebanese “National News Agency” in Zahle quoted the agency’s representative, that the Lebanese artist, George Al-Rassi, died after his car collided with a median barrier in the factory’s locality at the point separating the Lebanese and Syrian borders, while he was coming from the Syrian border, and a woman who was accompanied by him died. .

According to information reported by one TV Lebanon, George Al-Rassi "slept" as he was driving across the Syrian border, which led to his crashing into a large wall on a highway in the factory and his death instantly, along with the woman who was with him.

Immediately, the security forces came to the scene and opened an investigation to find out the circumstances.

The civil defense teams also came from the factory center, and worked to pull Al-Rassi and the young woman from the car and transported them to Taanayel General Hospital, and it was reported that they died as a result of the horrific accident.

On Saturday morning, the General Directorate of Civil Defense reported on Twitter that two people were killed when their car collided in the cement separator at the Masnaa border point in the Bekaa.

The Lebanese Civil Defense explained in its tweet that its members used "hydraulic rescue equipment" due to "the car's structure was severely damaged as a result of the force of the accident."

Lebanese media also published a video clip in which it said that it was the last appearance of the late artist George Al-Rassi during his concert in Syria, two hours before his death.

About George El Rassi

Georges Al-Rassi was born on December 2, 1982, into an artistic family. His father is an oud player, and he was able to pursue his vocal and artistic abilities.

And the first contract that George Al-Rassi spent at the age of 16 was with the "Obsion" club, to perform concerts, as it was his main opportunity to meet the public.

In 1995, George Al-Rassi met the famous composer Samir Qibti, who was convinced of Al-Rassi's abilities, so that Copt would become his own producer.
