The head of the Lebanese Actors Syndicate, Nima Badawi, announced the death of actor Fadi Ibrahim, following a health crisis that required him to be admitted to intensive care in a hospital in the capital, Beirut, at the age of 67 years.

Nima Badawi wrote, through his Facebook account, “In my name, in the name of the Actors Syndicate in Lebanon, and in the name of the family of our fellow artist, with great sadness and sorrow, we announce the death of the star artist, Fadi Ibrahim.”

The late artist's health condition deteriorated over the past few days, after he suffered a health problem last January, which led to the amputation of his leg as a result of his diabetes, and one of his kidneys stopped working completely.

He was transferred to the hospital a few days ago, and his family explained in a statement that visits were prevented from him due to health complications.

Sadness in the artistic community

The news of his passing was a shock to the artistic community in the Arab world, and in Lebanon in particular, where a large number of artists and celebrities mourned him.

Through her account on the “X” platform, the artist Elissa mourned him and said, “The actor Fadi Ibrahim makes us sad about your departure, but you will be relieved of your pain, and you will have eternal rest.”

They say life is a farce, but despite that, there are many difficult times to laugh and dance through sorrows.

More than 100 works in his career

The artist Fadi Ibrahim was born in Beirut in 1956, and began his artistic career in the eighties of the last century. During his artistic career, he presented approximately 105 artistic works in Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria, and among his most prominent works are “Al-Amin and Al-Mamoun,” “Asmahan,” and “The Second Gate.” He studied civil aviation, but did not continue in it, and became busy with acting, in addition to his work as a translator for documentaries on Lebanon Television, and he has directing experience, which is the series “The Fall of a Woman.”

His beginnings were by participating in series and films in Lebanon, such as the movie “The Intifada,” the series “With the Arab Doctors,” “The End of the Day,” and “Death Coming to the East.” In 2001, he presented the character of Richard in the series “Searching for Saladin.”

After that, he presented the character of Obas in the series “Al-Tariq”, and he continued to present historical works, so he portrayed the character of Jaafar bin Yahya Al-Barmaki in the series “Sons of Al-Rashid: Al-Amin and Al-Mamoun”, and he portrayed the Caesar of Rome in “Eve in History”, and in 2008 he presented the character of Farid Ghosn in the series Asmahan's biography.

He continued to present works between Egypt, Lebanon and Syria, including the series “Al-Adham”, “Kid Al-Nisa”, “Naji Atallah Band”, “Ruby” and “School of Love”.

The year 2022 witnessed his participation in 5 works: “From..to”, “For Death, Part 2”, “Secret: The Challenge”, Part Two, “Rain Dance” and “Lost Time”.

The Lebanese artist Fadi Ibrahim - who passed away at the age of 67 - is married and has two children, Stephanie and Omar.
