U.S. President Biden announced at the White House on the 1st that Ayman Zawahiri, the current leader of the international terrorist organization Al Qaeda, was killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan.
Zawahiri became a leader after Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States, was killed in 2011, and was believed to be hiding in the border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
