He noted that the United States is in constant contact with the Ukrainian authorities, as they consider it necessary to make sure that Kyiv has enough weapons.
“So we are really confident in the process of helping them to ensure security in order to continue to be able to respond to their needs,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the Pentagon said that Kyiv is systematically expanding its requests for military assistance.
A senior spokeswoman for the United States Department of Defense said that the United States and its allies are discussing the possibility of supplying Kyiv with new coastal defense systems.
