Thomas-Greenfield was asked whether some African countries were under pressure due to the fact that they supported the UN General Assembly resolution on Ukraine condemning Russia's actions.
“I personally took part in a number of very intense personal discussions with my African colleagues, whom I told that this is not a war between the US and Russia,” the US envoy replied.
In April, Thomas-Greenfield announced the impossibility of excluding Russia from the UN Security Council.
