China News Service, March 22. On the 21st local time, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on social media that he was deeply shocked and saddened after learning of the crash of China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 carrying 132 people.

Modi also wrote: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the crash and their families."

  At about 14:38 on March 21, China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 lost contact and crashed over Wuzhou City, Guangxi during the Kunming-Guangzhou mission.

There were 123 passengers and 9 crew members on board.

Currently, rescue operations are underway.
