An Israeli in his twenties was killed and two others were injured Thursday in the occupied West Bank in an attack on their car, doctors said.
The IDF said it was looking for suspects in the area.
A doctor working for the Magen David Adom emergency service explained that he tried to resuscitate an unconscious person in the back of a car after being shot, adding: "we had to declare her dead" .
The driver of the vehicle and another passenger suffered "minor" injuries and were taken to hospital, he added.
Doctors say the attack took place near Colony C in the northern West Bank, near the Palestinian city of Nablus.
The state-run Wafa news agency reported that Israeli soldiers were blocking entrances to Nablus, with hundreds of cars blocked on the surrounding roads.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett denounced a "horrific" attack in a statement released by his office.
"The security forces will get their hands on the terrorists very soon and we will make sure that justice is done," he added.
