Early today, Thursday, Israeli occupation forces assassinated two Palestinians in Nour Shams camp in the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank, hours after they assassinated three resistance fighters in Jenin, while Palestinian settlers attacked near Nablus.

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that two Palestinians were martyred as a result of an Israeli drone bombing a site inside the Nour Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, after it was stormed by Israeli forces supported by dozens of vehicles and bulldozers.

The Israeli army said that it targeted with a drone two young Palestinians whom it claimed posed a direct threat to its forces in the camp.

He added that his forces began a military operation in the camp, and the Israeli Broadcasting Authority described the operation as large-scale.

The occupation forces imposed a curfew and a comprehensive security cordon on Nour Shams camp, closing the camp's entrances, bulldozing the streets, and vandalizing the infrastructure, amid heavy gunfire directed at citizens and the flight of reconnaissance planes.

Clashes and raids

Palestinian sources reported the outbreak of armed confrontations in the Nour Shams camp, and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Tulkarm said that they were engaged in clashes with machine guns and explosive devices with the invading forces.

Also in the northern West Bank, Palestinian sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the city of Qalqilya early today.

Palestinian platforms published video clips showing the deployment of Israeli vehicles in the streets of the city, as part of night raids that included several cities and towns in the West Bank.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli forces raided homes in Qalqilya and arrested a number of Palestinians.

The occupation army also stormed the city of Nablus from the Al-Tur checkpoint, while the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that two Palestinians were injured as a result of Israeli soldiers beating them in the village of Madama, south of Nablus.

The Israeli incursions early today included the Jabal Al-Tawil neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh, near Ramallah, and the town of Ya'bad, near Jenin.

In the southern West Bank, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Aroub camp and the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, at dawn today.

Earlier, Israeli special forces stormed Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, raided a residential building, arrested a young man from inside his house, and then withdrew from the place.

Assassination in Jenin

Three Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an air strike that targeted a car on the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army said that an Air Force warplane killed Ahmed Barakat and Muhammad Hawashin, two prominent members of the Islamic Jihad movement, after it targeted a car they were traveling in in the Jenin area.

The occupation army added in a statement that Ahmed Barakat was behind the killing of an Israeli in a settlement near Tulkarm last year, while Muhammad Hawasheen and two others planned to carry out operations in Israel.

During the funeral of the bodies of the three martyrs, confrontations took place between mourners and resistance fighters on the one hand, and the security services of the Palestinian Authority, which resulted in 4 young men being injured by live bullets, one of them in the head, following an exchange of gunfire, according to what was reported by Al Jazeera’s correspondent.

Settlers attacks

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that settlers attacked Palestinian homes yesterday, Wednesday, in Qorbet Madama, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Other armed settlers also attacked the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, and Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the settlers severely beat a Palestinian and burned his car before they withdrew from the village.

In a separate incident, armed settlers attacked two Palestinian citizens in the village of Burin, south of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses reported that settlers in military uniform assaulted a Palestinian shepherd and his brother before kidnapping them and leaving the village.

It is noteworthy that this attack is not the first in the village of Burin and other nearby villages, as the most recent was the martyrdom of a Palestinian by settlers’ bullets in the village of Aqraba, southeast of Nablus.
