Abdullah bin Zayed receives Turkish Foreign Minister

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the friendly Republic of Turkey and joint cooperation between the two countries in all areas that serve their mutual interests and bring good to their peoples.

The two sides reviewed the outcomes of the official visit recently paid by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to the Republic of Turkey, at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey.

His Highness and Mevlut Cavusoglu also exchanged views on the situation in the region and discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of Mevlut Cavusoglu, stressing the UAE's aspiration to work with Turkey in order to strengthen their bilateral relationship and joint cooperation to serve the common interests of the two countries, support development efforts in them and bring benefit to their peoples.

Prior to the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, signed a memorandum of understanding between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
