The prime minister was unharmed, but several parts of the official residence were destroyed, and seven people who were guarding the outskirts were injured.

At the dawn of the 7th local time, a drone attack occurred at the Prime Minister's office located in the Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq.
The Green Zone is where government buildings and embassies of each country are located. Two of the three drones were shot down, but one was found to have hit the official residence.
Seven people who were guarding the outskirts were injured, but Prime Minister al-Kadhimi was not harmed, the Iraqi government said.

Iraqi government took a position to condemn it, calling it a heinous crime targeting Iraq.
The forces claiming to be behind the incident have not yet emerged.
However, attention is being paid to the fact that the attack took place amid heightened political conflict after the general election last month.
When the Fatah Alliance, which is linked with the pro-Iranian militia, suffered a catastrophic defeat, supporters are claiming the election fraudulent.
