"Over the past day, on October 13, in Russia, forest fire forces have liquidated 17 forest fires on an area of 175 hectares," RIA Novosti reports.
The largest area of fires was recorded in the Khabarovsk Territory - 444 hectares.
Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the situation with natural fires and floods is stabilizing.
