The Ministry of Defense showed a video from liberated Avdiivka, in which Russian attack aircraft from the Center group of forces point to the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of ​​the city’s railway station.

According to the military of the Russian Armed Forces, militants of the nationalist Azov unit tried to hold these positions*.

“At the equipped stronghold, refrigeration chambers for food... imported medicines and food, including Canadian-made dry rations, belonging to foreign mercenaries from Canada and Georgia were discovered,” the department said. 

In addition, American and Czech-made ammunition was found in one of the buildings. 

On February 17, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin about the capture of Avdeevka. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1.5 thousand military personnel in the battles for Avdeevka per day.
