The alert came this Thursday morning from a walker located near the Lône de l'Ove river, near Soyons (Ardèche).

, this witness found a very seriously injured man on a stony path.

When the help arrived on the spot, the vital prognosis of the victim was engaged and this one was transported to the hospital center of Valence.

The man succumbed to his injuries this Thursday, late in the morning.

Public prosecutor of Privas, Cécile Deprade explained to

Dauphiné Libéré

 that the victim, "of young appearance and who moved by bicycle", had "not yet been able to be identified".

The body of this deceased cyclist, who will soon undergo an autopsy, shows significant traces of "blows to the head".

An element which pushed an investigation for murder to be opened, and entrusted to the judicial police of Valence and to the PJ of Lyon.
