Four young men were indicted for murder on the night of Sunday to Monday after the death of Shemseddine, 15, beaten Thursday in front of his school in Viry-Châtillon for a dispute involving the sister of two of them, announced the Evry public prosecutor's office.

Two of the accused - a 20-year-old adult and a minor - were imprisoned while two other minors were temporarily incarcerated before an adversarial debate on Wednesday, explained Evry prosecutor Grégoire Dulin in a press release. An investigation was opened for aggravated violence with premeditation, with a weapon and in a meeting, added the public prosecutor, specifying that "this case has no link" with the death of Shemseddine.
