He added that according to the security service, Taliban fighters * were at the gates of the presidential palace.
Ghani also stressed that he held talks with the Taliban on ensuring the security of Kabul and the peaceful transfer of power.
Earlier, in the course of his video message, he promised to return to the country in the near future.
