"Based on the new information, the Dutch Medicines Authority (CBG) has advised, as a precautionary measure and pending further investigation, to suspend the use of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine," the statement said.
It is noted that it was decided not to use the AstraZeneca vaccine "for the next two weeks."
Earlier, the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports of the Netherlands, Hugo de Jonge, said that the country will continue to use the drug from AstraZeneca.
