China News Service, March 15 (AFP) According to a report from Agence France-Presse on the 15th, Dutch health officials said that after Denmark and Norway reported "possible side effects", they had suspended the use of AstraZeneca's new crown vaccine for two weeks on the 14th.

The Netherlands is the last country to suspend the vaccination. At present, 12 countries in Europe have suspended the administration of AstraZeneca vaccine completely or partially.

The Dutch Ministry of Health said in a statement: “According to new information, as a preventive measure, the Dutch Food and Drug Administration has recommended that the administration of AstraZeneca vaccine be suspended and is awaiting further investigation.”

According to reports, due to many cases of blood clots and even deaths among AstraZeneca vaccinators in Europe, in addition to the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Bulgaria and Ireland have previously decided to suspend vaccination against AstraZeneca; Austria, Italy, Luxembourg, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia have also decided to suspend vaccination of certain batches of AstraZeneca vaccine.

The European Medicines Agency said on the 11th that as of the 10th, nearly 5 million people in the European Economic Area had been vaccinated with AstraZeneca, and 30 of them had blood clots.

However, the European Medicines Agency said that there is currently no evidence that the occurrence of blood clots is related to the AstraZeneca vaccine. This vaccine can still be vaccinated during the investigation of the above-mentioned incident by the Agency.

AstraZeneca insists that the vaccine is "safe", saying there is no evidence that it will increase the risk of blood clots.
