On the 28th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin hosted a regular press conference.

Wang Wenbin said that in recent days, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom unilaterally announced the suspension of the surrender of fugitive offenders agreement signed with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under the pretext of China's enactment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region National Security Law. This action grossly interfered in China's internal affairs and seriously violated international law and basic norms of international relations. China firmly opposes this.

Wang Wenbin emphasized that, with the assistance and authorization of the central government, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has provided active assistance to Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom under the framework of the agreement in accordance with the Basic Law and the Canadian, Australian and British sides will cooperate in judicial cooperation with Hong Kong. The wrong act of politicization has seriously damaged the basis of judicial cooperation between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, and has deviated from the purpose of judicial cooperation and the maintenance of justice and the rule of law.

Wang Wenbin announced that, for this reason, China has decided to suspend the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Hong Kong, Hong Kong, Macau, and Hong Kong-Britain "Agreement on the Surrender of Fugitive Offenders".
